Why DANK?
United We Are Strong!
If you ask any sensible German-American what he believes is the greatest necessity for the German-Americans in America, he will answer that it is an organization of German-Americans all over the nation.
The main purpose of the German-American National Congress consists of uniting and cultivating the German heritage in order to achieve an amount of influence in the public life of our homeland America, proportional to our percentage of the population, which other ethnic groups have already possessed for decades.
A local group can be founded by petition of at least 15 persons in accordance with these statues and with consent of the National Executive Board. For this purpose the National Executive Board grants a founding letter that authorizes establishment of a local group.
Established German-American clubs or organizations, in places or states where there is no DANK group, can in accordance with the statutes and the agreement of the National Executive Board of DANK, become DANK Associate members. Individuals can become DANK Members-At-Large.
