This just made me feel good good!
As I was flying back to Amsterdam from Bombay, India on May 28, I captured this shot of the Moon as it sat over my home town area of Gelsenkirchen, Germany. There is a song about the “Mond von Wanne Eickel” a town next to Gelsenkirchen that always gives us from the Ruhr Valley a special goose bump when we see the Moon over the Kohlenpott (the old slang word for the area).

Realy a nice picture . There is a song from the Cologne Rockband BAP called : ” Frau , ich freu mich ” in this is a line : un der Mond vun Wanne – Eickel is nu wirklich nit der Bringer…. ” ( and the Moon from Wanne – Eickel is realy not the best ) . But today the Kohle-Pott is realy fine. The citizen have a funny slang and I think they are hard but heartly.
