Pajama Party Festivities

by Darlene - Journal Editor on November 11, 2009 » Add Comment.

After the Saturday Gala Ball, delegates made it back to their rooms to change into more comfortable attire.  Off with the shoes, out of the gown, and into some comfy pajamas or what ever one may sleep in.  Some of the delegates were shy at first but after a few beers and some lively singing, everyone let their hair down and had a great time.  For those who missed it, some of the evening will be kept private for only those who attended.

Hey, nice photos Donna! I hope we can see more! Too bad if you missed the PJ party, we had only about 3 hours of sleep!

Awesome photos, but they only tell half the story….too bad we don’t have the audio to go with the photos :) — we had some great singing going on at about 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. We stayed until 2:45 a.m. — had a hard time driving back home without falling asleep at the wheel….still I would not have traded it for anything. Party to be continued in Pittsburgh in 2011 — be there or be square!

Hello All, Lori & I were early & went back upstairs to wait…..Snore…..
Were sorry that we missed it all. Maybe that’s why there was all af the “bickering” on Sunday am meeting? Anyway, funniest thing… Lori had to get a blood test on Tuesday am and when the results came back the LIVER test was way out of wack! Could it be that she drank at least 18 glasses of wine on Saturday?? OK, new test now that we’re away from the party !!
Like Linda V says ” just you wait ’till Pittsbburgh on 2011″, Henry Higgins ! !

Best luck to you all

I’ve been to many conventions in my life but never one like this! The pj party beats any hospitality suite any time. The next morning was tough!!!!
I remember Eric’s first visit to sub-chapter meeting. He stated that one of the main purposes of the DANK organization was to have fun. He certainly showed the way last week. We’ll have to see if our Pittsburgh DANK 2011 can top this.

PS I have some photos too that I will send to Amelia to use as she sees fit.

Since my first pajama party, I always looked forward to this event. The relaxing, laughing, singing and yes…a few more glasses of wine is a great way to unwind after a hectic day.

The most fun was when a group of younger girls passed the room and they stopped dead. They asked what kind of a party we were having and were mildly surprised (shocked) that we older folks were actually having a pajama party. Their response was “awesome”!

I look forward to the 2011 Convention in Pittsburgh and another pajama party.

Where is privacy and authorization when it comes to posting peoples’s photos on the blog at the November 2009 pajama party at the National Convention. Was I asked permission to have my photo(s) posted on the blog?
