Well today the crowds came in at 3 PM and it got a little lively at the festival. The opening ceremony at 5 PM was a nice intro to the festival board, the sponsors and dignitaries including Mayor Tom Barrett of Milwaukee. Our DANK PR tent did have quite a few visitors today. Foline Koch, from the Quad Cities chapter came by with several chapter members today. So happy to see them stop by. Look for upcoming pictures.

Bert and Arlene Lachner came by to help out and gave us a breather so that we could go to dinner. Donna Lippert and husband Reinhard arrive later after their rush hour journey from Benton Harbor, Michigan. The will be helping out tomorrow. Oh yes, the weather held out today and gave us lots of warmth, humidity and some nice sunshine. The rain missed us and moved to the south.
Tomorrow, Saturday will be a big day with the Air Force Thunderbirds doing their air show for the Milwaukee Air and Water show at around noon. This will be right over the festival grounds. Then in the evening between 7:30 and 9:30 PM the German Fest night time air show will feature quite a spectacle followed by their famous fireworks at 10 to 10:30 PM.
