Greetings from German Fest in Milwaukee. DANK is represent this year a sponsor and has a PR tent where we can tell folks about our organization and sign up folks for our DANK credit card. Darlene and I did a lot of PR yesterday and will continue to do so all weekend.
We are finding that many of the visitors don’t know much about Germany or how many German Americans live in the US and have never heard of DANK.
On the cult side, there are a lot of younger folks, late teens and early twenties that are taking pictures of our signs, because to them DANK means quality weed (marijuana). Kind of funny to see these folks standing in front of our booth and having their picture taken by a friend. It’s one of those underground cult things, but we can capitalize on this educating them about what we are all about as an organization
