Captain Bill
I am very excited about this new feature of our website. Besides being DANK’s National President I am also an Airline Pilot and get to travel around the world a bit. I will be adding dialogue about my travels and interesting tidbits, that might interest our German American Community, while on my job and on duty with DANK. Please continue to look for new additions as I try to update this blog on a weekly basis.

As I continue my travels I will show you pictures and video/sound clips of some cool places that I get to visit.
Just this morning I got to see this beautiful view of Mt. Fuji on the way to Tokyo from Beijing. It’s real nice here today in Japan with temps in the mid 50’s F, almost spring like. Stay tuned! Captain Bill.

It’s always a pleasure to see you coming thru ORD. Thanks for the info on the DANK web site. This Blog is a great idea. I just wish this technology was available when my parents were alive. They were DANK members and enjoed the German Activities in the Chicagoland area. This is a great way to keep up with our German Heritage. Hope to see you on your next trip thru one of the busiest airports in the world.

I came accross your blog while resurching Germany for a trip I plan in September.
Although born in Darmstadt I have not returned for some time. I look forward to my return and the food and culture. I have moved to Montana from Central Tx ( good German emigrant location,
New Braunfels, Fredricksberg, and Kerrville.) via Washington state I miss the influence of the culture.
Have you rented motorcycles in and around Frankfurt/Darmstdt area or know anyone that has ?
I will fly into Frankfurt and would like to tour on motorcycle to Markdorf, Mittenwald, Oberabergau Munchn and Stutgart.
Trying to get as much information (resturants sights mesuems etc..)prior to leaving .
I also am a pilot (I have a Piper Pacer I fly in MT, ID and WY) and was working at Boeing on 747-400.
veilen Dank
Mark
